The details for grand-prize entry are posted at the start of the blog hop. You won't want to miss it!

This time of year is when I start organizing and planning for Christmas. Yes, I am one of those insane planners, but it makes everything go smoothly once Thanksgiving comes around! I look around for inspiration, figure out what I'm going to do for my Christmas cards, plan crafty gifts for friends/family, and of course figure out party plans and menu ideas! We have a lot of birthdays and events in September and October that I really do have to start early if I want to get everything done on time. With a toddler and a baby to take care of, and almost 100 cards to make, I have to get started early!
I already have my cards planned and a few assembled, so I thought I would show them to you today. My dearest husband bought me a cricut last year for Christmas, so I had to use that for the cards this year. I used the Winter Wonderland cartridge with the sleigh image. I told myself I had to use up all my old Christmas paper before I could buy any more, and I have a lot of paper from an old DCWV stack. Since there are only a few sheets of each design, most of the cards will end up looking a little different with the patterns, but the overall look will be the same. Here are my cards:

I always try to keep my cards simple since I have to make so many. In October I'll plan a family photo to put on the inside of the card. I'm thinking this year we'll wear coordinating red shirts. I hope you enjoyed looking at my project. The next stop on the blog hop is Maribeth.
My secret word is leaf

By the way, I will be giving away a small RAK. All you have to do is become a follower of my blog and write a comment on this post letting me know when you start planning for Christmas. You have until August 29th. Enjoy the rest of your summer!

  23. I have not really started Christmas planning yet...still a little too early. However last year due to finances I had to start X-mas shopping way early and just get a little each paycheck. Even though I don't have to anymore, I will continue doing that this year...in fact I just picked up my first item this weekend. Btw...CUTE CARDS!
