SPCC #58

It's Monday, time for a new color challenge at SPCC! The thing that I love the most about doing the color combo challenges is that I never know what I'm going to end up with. I start by finding paper that matches the colors, then finding a stamp or embellishments and it all comes together into a pretty card I otherwise would not have been able to think of!

Cosmo Cricket

I recently joined a new message board called Paper Whores... they've had a couple of challenges so far, and the newest one is to do a project using the paper from just one specific manufacturer - you can use any embellishments. This will be repeating every week, each week specifying a different manufacturer to use. This week's choice was Cosmo Cricut.

Of course, my scrapbook pages I usually put together into kits for when I have time to work on them, and this particular kit that I had with Cosmo Cricket paper I picked up several times but I couldn't figure out how I wanted to put it together. After playing around for a bit, I finally came out with a good layout.. here it is!

I even had enough left over to do a card... go me!!!

SPCC #56

So this was my first week completing the Scrapmaster's Paradise Color Combo as a design team member! Using the above colors, I have to create a layout, a card, or an altered item. Below is the card I came up with...

Bo Bunny pg 2

So here is the second page I did (another reject) for the Bo Bunny application.. This is the second part of a two page layout for Liam's second birthday.

Bo Bunny

So Bo Bunny is having a design team call - and they are of course one of my most favorite lines! There's absolutely nothing they've made that I don't like! So I of course had to send in an application. I had to make 2 layouts, 2 cards, and 1 altered item using at least 80% Bo Bunny products - not too hard to do! I went through my stash and got out all the Bo Bunny products I had, and when I went out with the girls on Friday, I got several layouts done, with the cards and an altered box. Over the next week, I will be posting the projects that I did... starting with the rejects of course! This first layout is of Liam at his second birthday party....

Side note - Bo Bunny also has sketch challenges on their blog... this layout is using one of their sketches!

Suzanne Says at Paper Whores

I found a fun new scrapbooking forum called Paper Whores.. who wouldn't love a name like that?! Anyway, they had a challenge to create a layout getting only one step each day. I found a couple of photos of Liam and Chris picking apples, the "Family Ties" page kit by Colorbok which happened to have perfectly coordinating fall colors, and my cricut to cut out the journalling block. A little Stampin Up ink around the edges, and it's done!
