Birthday Cards
In November, we went to a first birthday party for two beautiful twin boys - Collin's two best friends! It was a storybook theme, so I thought the paper from DCWV's Once Upon A Time line would be perfect. I managed to bring a small bag of scrapping supplies to the hospital while I was there with Collin (he's doing much better now), and I made these two cards... enjoy!

In Hospital...
Hi all... sorry I haven't posted my SPCC color challenge for this week, it's been very hectic in the Reilly household. My one year old son Collin was admitted to the hospital yesterday. He had a small fever and was vomiting more than he normally does, especially considering he hadn't gotten chemo for two weeks, so we took him to the emergency room. While he was there, his fever spiked up to 104.3, so they admitted him. Bloodwork shows he has a blood infection through his broviac line, so he's staying in the hospital until the blood cultures come back clear, probably not until the end of the week. Until then, I am staying at the hospital with him to make sure everything goes okay, although the nurses at Yale are all wonderful. I'm typing on the hospital's computer, so I don't have access to any of my pics to post, so I'll update the blog as soon as we're discharged. Until then, goodnight!

Hi all, another Monday has arrived, time for a color challenge at Scrapmaster's Paradise! Here are this week's colors:
I initially thought I would do a halloween card with the orange and black, but when I found these two stickers with the perfect shade of pale blue, I ended up doing this card instead:
I hope you enjoyed my card, and to participate in this week's challenge, please go to Samantha's blog here.

Happy Monday! It's Color Combo time at Scrapmaster's Paradise!! Here are this week's fabulous colors:
These colors really put me in a halloween mood, so I had to look through my halloween stuff to see what I had...
I love this cat stamp from stampin up, so I had to use it in a card, pretty spooky, right? Of course, I couldn't resist doing something with pumpkins too...

Happy Cardmaking Day!
Hello everyone! In honor of World Cardmaking Day, I thought I would share this group of cards I made... 15 cards using 1 sheet of patterned paper! I used a template I found on the Splitcoast Stampers forum for a 12x12 piece of patterned paper. Simply cut them all out, stamp some images (I used watercolor pencils to color them in... alas, I don't have copics yet!), assemble, and you're done! I think next time though I might try a double sided paper instead for more variety!

Another Monday, another color challenge! Today is a very special day for me - we are celebrating Collin's first birthday! It's been a very hard year for us but we made it through with the help of wonderful family and friends.
He definitely fills our hearts with sunshine every day he is with us. He has such a beautiful soul, with so much positivity, it amazes me. Happy First Birthday Collin! Mommy loves you!!
Here is the color combo:
I found the sticker quote with these colors as the starting point. When I found it, I knew it would be perfect for Collin's first birthday card.

This time of year is when I start organizing and planning for Christmas. Yes, I am one of those insane planners, but it makes everything go smoothly once Thanksgiving comes around! I look around for inspiration, figure out what I'm going to do for my Christmas cards, plan crafty gifts for friends/family, and of course figure out party plans and menu ideas! We have a lot of birthdays and events in September and October that I really do have to start early if I want to get everything done on time. With a toddler and a baby to take care of, and almost 100 cards to make, I have to get started early!
I already have my cards planned and a few assembled, so I thought I would show them to you today. My dearest husband bought me a cricut last year for Christmas, so I had to use that for the cards this year. I used the Winter Wonderland cartridge with the sleigh image. I told myself I had to use up all my old Christmas paper before I could buy any more, and I have a lot of paper from an old DCWV stack. Since there are only a few sheets of each design, most of the cards will end up looking a little different with the patterns, but the overall look will be the same. Here are my cards:
I always try to keep my cards simple since I have to make so many. In October I'll plan a family photo to put on the inside of the card. I'm thinking this year we'll wear coordinating red shirts. I hope you enjoyed looking at my project. The next stop on the blog hop is Maribeth.
My secret word is leaf
By the way, I will be giving away a small RAK. All you have to do is become a follower of my blog and write a comment on this post letting me know when you start planning for Christmas. You have until August 29th. Enjoy the rest of your summer!
